Research ABOUT THE CHILDREN’S RIGHTSDuring the May 2009, Children Embassy Megjashi, in cooperation with the partner organizations of the towns Kumanovo (HO Mother), Tetovo (Center of Balkan Cooperation- Ljoja), Prilep (Center for Citizen’s Initiative), Kavadarci (Council for prevention of child delinquency), Strumica (Center for possible development-Gate) and Kichevo(Woman Citizen initiative Antic), have prepared questionnaire for the research of the children’s rights situation in Macedonia.
The research is a part of the activities of the project “Building a Culture of Child Participation”, which is financed by the European Union, through the programme EIDHR.
The dates of the research have to be about a preparation of the Alternative report about the situation of the children’s rights in Macedonia, which have to be presented at the Committee of the Children’s Rights in Geneva, in February 2010.
During the preparation and realisation of the questionnaire have been participating of 120 children of the following towns: Kumanovo, Skopje, Tetovo, Prilep, Kavadarci, Strumica and Kichevo.
The questionnaire contains 63 questions of the sphere of the rights for the children (for example, “how many children are known with their rights?”); the violence in the family, in the school and in the place of living; the discrimination, the education and the protection of the rights for the children (where and how the child can inform when his rights are injured )
