INTERNET- MAGNET FOR PEDOPHILES AND CRIMINALSSocial chat rooms are dangerous for children as well

Macedonian teenagers become target of abuse to the pedophiles and internet criminals through nude photos, personal data, publicly announced opinions etc. The computer administrators are warning that the young population is not always aware about the danger of their profiles registered to the websites such as facebook, myspace, hi5 etc.   Through those nets the juveniles become friends with people they have never met before not being aware who hides on the other side of the screen.

They often arrange personal meetings, automatically exposing themselves to the danger of becoming victims of prostitution, pedophilia, and even trafficking with human beings. Websites become way too commercial and everyone who wants can get an access to your private life, which is not correct. -There are people that day and night are staying online and literally mess into your privacy. That’s why I recently have removed my profile after
I noticed that people I don’t know are sending me impolite suggestions- say a former “facebook addict”.

It is also confirmed by the First Children’s Embassy in the Megjashi that more and more youngsters are being enlisted over internet and that this problem becomes very serious. Quite often in happens that the profile’s passwords are being broken in, other photographs are being replaced and many impolite comments are being left. As of the beginning of this year there are two cases of personal data abuse over internet, and the complaints for arranging of meetings are not rare as well. -There are no   researches done for more precise data of this type in our country but still many other reports are being registered –state Embassy Megjashi reps and emphasize that children between 5 and 15 are most adequate for this phenomenon. Last year the First Children’s Embassy in the World and the Foundation “Metamorphosis” have established the web site “Be safe online” on which young people can get informed how to protect themselves while using internet.
This project included public lectures in primary and secondary schools in Macedonia, where teenagers were advised about the perils which are threatening them while they are surfing on the global net. Monetary fines from 500 to 4000 euros are a threat to everyone that tries to abuse the personal date over internet. With the amendments of the Law for Protection of Personal Data since last august it is set that instead the court the fines for the perpetrators will be determined by the Directorate for Protection of Personal Data. In this way the procedure and the time for pronouncement of the penalty will be shortened. As from the Directorate it is informed that last year there have been 52 requests for checkups received, all of them have been checked and no penalty has been pronounced. As a warning it is said that many of the data remain available on the global net even after they are being removed from the profile. They appeal to the young population to be careful with the information which is being left on internet because they could be abused by the internet criminals.

He had forced her to a porno clip

22-years old young man from Demir Hisar, from village Sveta, has forced a juvenile girl to record herself to a porno clip with her mobile phone, which after that was being resent to his friends. The pedophile M. S. in March this year has met with the 16-years old H.N. from village Edinkovci, Demir Hisar area and with the excuse that she needs to return her loan had forced her to record herself with discredited poses. Afterwards he transferred the clip to his mobile phone and was sending to his friends.

Restriction of the porno sites

Last week in Germany there has been adopted a new law with which the internet providers are obligated to ban the sites with children’s pornographic content which is given on the Government’s black list. The Law applies to all the providers with more than 10.000 users. From the Chancellor’s Cabinet Angela Merkel it was stated that behind each video clip or a photograph on internet there is at least one abused child. The aim of this Law is to reduce the number of the visitors of the children’s porno sites which is registered with a smashing increase. In 2007 there have been 6.206 cases of children’s pornography registered.
