INITIATIVE FOR INCLUDING THE CHILDREN INTO THE SCHOOLThe daily centre for children which don`t go to school is has been functioning in the Children`sembassy of June 2007. The daily crntre in 2007 ,only 6 months was financial supported of the Ministery for labour and social policy of the Republica Macedonia, but,from 2008 ,till now is working with support of the business sector and the citizens.For these children,of very big considerance is the prolonging the working of the Daily centre in order not to loose the effect of all which is till now,done.The children have got a habit to come here ,the ordinary arriving was very considreable for them and they wanted more frequently to attend the Daily centre.Regarding there living conditions ,the arrival into the Daily centre is a possibility about the decreasing of the damages.Sometimes,and the smaller members of the family have comed to the centre ,in order to get bath,to get one lounch in the day and to be a little time in a hot space.Unless these activities ,the participation in the work-shops enable them to expres themselves,to develope own capacities ,which the surroundings dont allow and to learn new useful things. The children and their families just the same ,get clothing ,shoes(as donations of the citizens),easier access is ensured to the health care and realizing of their rights.
Because the number of the children on street ,on the territory of Skopje is around 1000,we enable careness for the children which don`t go to school,but who live on the territory of the Comunity Aerodrome,where is located and the Children`s embassy.For this target group,it is very considerable the Daily centre to be nearly and physicaly to their place of living.So,not only the children ,but and the another members of the families use the services of our Daily centre.The children which don`t go to school,are exposed on health risks,because they have so little clothing on themselves,especially in the winter.They are exposed on health risks and because of the conditions where they live.,Namely,most of them live in an improvised houses of card box and nylons,without current and water,without sanitary places.The children don`t feed ordinary,not quality,because of the bad economic conditiones.
The general target of the Daily centre is to enable to the children on the street and the street`s children inclusement into the society,psyche-social support and intervention through non-institutional form of the social defence.Most-various services are have been giving to the children in depence of their needs,in the frame of the Daily centre (maintaining of the hygiena,enabling primary health care,group social working,representing and lawbing for defence their rights,support to their parentes...).Also,the families whose children use services of the Daily centre , get a clean clothing of the children,because we have a wash-machine and a dry-machine.The last 6 months , within the working of the centre, , 20 children of street were comprised of the comunity Aerodrome,at the age of 5-14 years.
