In the organization of the Academy for training of the judges and prosecutors and the First Children’s embassy in the World – Megjashi today in Skopje has held a workshop on the subject “Sexual abuse of the children and theirs кривично правна procedure”.

The purpose of this training was to make the judges more sensitive to the way of processing in this kind of cases. In Macedonia should exist 30 trained judges and prosecutors which will prosecute in cases with sexual abuse of juveniles.

Until 2009 in Macedonia should have 30 trained judges and prosecutors which will prosecute in cases with sexual abuse of juveniles.  The juridical process should be done without delays, the penalties for the paedophilias should be higher, and the children victims should be under constant protection of the Social services during the juridical process. These were only part of the subjects of this training for judges and prosecutors, held in Skopje.
“We organize this training with purpose to make the judges and prosecutors more sensitive to the children victims or witnesses. We think to make bigger pressure upon them in order to take bigger responsibility during the juridical process. Because if the Centres for Social work and Ministry for Internal affairs do not stalk the paedophiles, there is a possibility that he will repeat the crime”- has stated Dragi Zmijanac, executive director of “Megjashi”.

“The child should be protected, and the paedophiles should be punished. I think that we as a state should accept the model of stalking the paedophiles in order not to repeat the crime” – has stated the judge Lidija Ilievska.

Until now beside the punishment in prison as the best mechanism against paedophiles, in the Western countries they are subject of constant stalking by the police and their movement is partially restricted.
