SUPERVISIONOn 25.12.2008, in the facilities of the Psychiatric Clinic, the First Children’s Embassy in the World Megjashi organized training on -Identifying different forms of abuse and neglect of children.
 
(emotional, physical and sexual abuse)

The training concerned nurses working in the clinic and 16 nurses form the clinics of gynecology, pediatrics, psychiatry, children’s diseases and pulmonology which took part in it. 
 
The training lecturer was:

Mr. Antoni Novotni, psychiatrist at the Psychiatric Clinic in Skopje and a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje.

All of the participants had an opportunity to gain professional knowledge in the area of psycho-sociology which would enable easier and more appropriate identification of a traumatized child, as well as cases of families with children traumatized from emotional, physical and sexual violence. The training also addressed ways of profiling offenders. Other issues were discussed as well, such as the particular situations that the medical personnel might face while working with children and the methods of dealing with such cases.

The training abounded with examples from everyday life, practice activities, the results of which were presented at the end, and finally, evaluation questionnaires. 

At the end of the training, the First Children’s Embassy in the World – “Megjashi” awarded all the participants with Certificates for participation in the local training.
