RESULTS FROM THE RESEARCH ON CONFIDENCE IN THE CIVIL SOCIETY MCMS has conducted research and has prepared report on “The Confidence in the Civil Society”, as part of the program for the work of the Civil Society Platform of the Republic of Macedonia. The purpose of this research was to measure the confidence of the citizens in the civil organizations and the participants in the civil organizations.

Proportion between positive and negative opinions about certain civil organizations.

The public opinion about all civil organizations that were included in the research is mostly positive. The quotient of the positive and negative opinions is positive for all organizations or in other words, for each interviewed person with negative opinion there is minimum one interviewed person with positive opinion (for the lowest ranged organization) or there are maximum 23,8 interviewed persons with positive opinion (for the highest ranged organization).

Significant changes in the quotient of the positive and negative opinions about each organization compared with the previous year are not noticed. The exemption is the First Children’s Embassy in the World – Megjashi, which index has increased from 9,9 to 23,8. The total average index of the group of organizations compared with the previous year has very small changes from 4,3 to 4,4.
