Participation of the Embassy Megjashi on the regional NGO fairs

In the period 30-31 March this year the third regional fair was held in Debar and also the fourth regional fair in Negotino from 14 to 15 June 2007, implemented by the Open Society Institute-Macedonia (OSIM) and the Support Center for NGO’s-Debar, within the Civil Platform of Macedonia.

The aim of this event was to inform the public with the activities of civil organizations, to create space for exchanging experience and enhancing regional cooperation throughout coordination and networking civil associations.

The regional NGO fair in Debar was supported by the local self-government of the municipality of Debar and it was consisted of three components: Forum activities, Exhibitions, Socio-cultural events.

The First Children’s Embassy in the world, the same as the previous fairs held in Strumica and Gostivar, took active participation. Among the activities in which the Children’s Embassy participated was the exhibition of the fundraising department where, most of the items made by the children in the children’ workshops, were exposed.

The funds that were raised of the sales of the items in Debar (4,220.00 MK) and Negotino (6.240,00 MKD) are intended for the free SOS phone for children and youth –0800 1 22 22, legal department and the Daily center for children on street
