Circus Skills Workshop

The third summer workshop for children between the ages of five and 16, organized by the First Chilren’s Embassy in the World – Megjashi, started yesterday, July 27. This year, just like in 2008, the workshop will teach children circus skills. The workshop concludes on Friday, July 31.

This summer again the workshop will include lectures in five circus techniques: juggling, acrobatics, balance, acting, trust in the partner. The participants will also learn about the life in a circus, the travelling life-style, they will draw, make friends and prepare circus props.

The workshops are held in the morning hours, in two age groups. The activities take place in First Children's Embassy in the World Megjashi, Republic of MAcedonia front yard, allowing all interested children and adults to view the workshops as a part of the audience. On the last day of the workshop, July 31, the participants and their instructors will hold a circus show.

Last summer, the lectures and instructions were provided by members of the French National Centre of Circus Arts (www.cnac.fr).
